An important element of your marketing funnel is upselling additional products to your main offering. For example, you may have a core course and want to sell an additional module, consultation, or checklist separately. Let’s walk through how to set this up in Zenedu.
Upsell for your main product
1. Create the main product and its offer.
2. Create a second product that you want to upsell.
Add content to it and configure all necessary product settings.
3. Create a second offer for the upsell.
4. Add a step about the upsell in the main product
In your main product, add a step that describes the product you’re upselling — for example, a checklist.
Explain what the checklist includes, and add a button that lets the user purchase it separately.
In the button settings, select the action to redirect to the upsell pricing plan link.
Now users can purchase your second product on their own and immediately get access to it.
Upsell through access expiration reminder
Another way to set up an upsell is to use the “Remind about access expiration” feature in your plan settings.
This allows you to automatically notify users a few days before their access expires and offer them to renew the plan or purchase another product.
To configure an upsell through reminders:
Open the main product’s plan and go to the “Access time to products, channels and groups” section.
Enable the “Remind about access expiration” option.
In the “Days before access expires” field, specify how many days before expiration the user should receive the notification.
In the “Notification text” field, write a message that will remind the user their access is ending soon and offer them to renew or upgrade.
In the “Button” field, set the text for the button — for example, “Renew access” or “Buy new module”.
In the “Renewal plan” field, select one of the options:
Current plan — if you want users to renew their existing offer with the same price and access duration.
Another plan — if you want to offer a new one with different pricing, access duration, or content. To do this, first create a new offer, set up the desired products and conditions, and then select it from the list.
Click “Save” to apply the settings.
Once configured, the system will automatically send reminders and prompt users to renew their access or switch to a new offer — effectively turning the reminder into an automated upsell tool.
