How to launch an affiliate program

Updated today

Affiliate Program — a marketing tool you can use to increase your revenue in Zenedu.

Your subscribers can become affiliates: they share a link to your product and earn a commission on every payment they generate.

Meanwhile, you gain new clients organically and grow your income.

How to launch the affiliate program

This feature is available in the «Marketing» section for clients on the Pro plan.

Click the «Launch Program» button and fill in the key settings of your affiliate program.

First, select offers from which partners will earn a commission.

Next, add a description of your program that partners will see before joining the program. You can edit it later in the settings.

After that, you set up the settings for your affiliate program.

  • Commission — the amount or percentage an affiliate receives from each payment

  • Duration — how long an affiliate receives commission from a referral

In the advanced settings, you can also configure:

  • Hold period — the waiting time before the commission becomes available for the affiliate to withdraw

  • Minimum payout — the minimum amount an affiliate can withdraw

After launching the affiliate program, the /affiliate command will automatically appear in your bot. Through this command, your subscribers will receive a message with the program details and can join the affiliate program via the “Join” button.

After that, the affiliate will have their own dashboard with statistics, which looks like this:

  • Referrals — the number of people who clicked the link.

  • Payments — the number of purchases made through the partner’s links.

  • Conversion — the percentage of people who purchased after clicking the link.

  • Earned — the total amount of the affiliate’s commissions.

  • Paid out — how much has already been paid to the affiliate.

  • Balance — how much is still owed to the affiliate.

  • Pending — the amount that will be paid to the affiliate after the hold period. If the «Hold period» field is set to 0, this will always show zero.

The «Links» button opens all the links the affiliate can share.

When the affiliate program is created, a link to the bot is automatically generated. This is the link that will be provided to the partner. You can edit it after launching the affiliate program. More details are provided below in the «Working with Affiliate Links» section.

When the affiliate clicks the link button, a message will appear giving them the option to copy their unique link and share it.

Working with affiliate

When the affiliate program is launched, a link to the bot is automatically generated with the name «Bot Link». If a referral purchases through this link, the affiliate will earn a commission. You can also create new links within the affiliate program in the «Links» section.

  • Offer — the link takes the user directly to the offer payment page, after which they gain access to the course, channel, or group.

  • Funnel — the link leads to a funnel, and the commission is credited only if the user purchases any offer in the bot after completing the funnel

In addition, you can edit all links. You can add text that will be visible to the affiliate in the bot when they select a specific link.

You can delete links, but note — you must always have at least one link that affiliates can share. The program will not work without links.

Working with affiliates

As soon as a new affiliate joins, they will immediately appear in the «Affiliates» tab of the affiliate program. Here, you can view their statistics and evaluate their performance.

Click on a specific affiliate, and a mini-profile with additional information about them will open on the right.

All information about the affiliate will also be displayed in a separate tab of their subscriber profile.

Our recommendation: in the “Notes” section of the partner’s mini-profile, record the method of commission payment so you don’t have to clarify it each time in a conversation.

How to make payments

When a purchase is made through an affiliate’s link, it is immediately reflected in their statistics in the bot’s personal dashboard. They can access the dashboard using the /affiliate command:

All referral payments are also displayed in the Payments” section. Here, you can see which partner the payment came from, the time of the payment, and its status.

We recommend organizing partner payments as follows:

  • In the program description, specify the payout frequency for the partner, for example, once a month;

  • Next, indicate how the partner should contact you to receive a payout. For example, the partner can write “I want a payout” in the bot, which opens a chat where the manager clarifies the payment method and the partner’s details;

  • We also recommend recording the partner’s information in the Notes section of the subscriber profile, so you don’t have to clarify it every time in a conversation.

Once you have paid the partner’s commission to the specified details, you need to confirm the payout in the program. To do this, go to the “Affiliates” section, find the partner in the table, and click “Mark Paid”. This will ensure the paid commission amount is correctly reflected in the partner’s statistics.

You can view the statistics of all confirmed payments to a partner in their mini-profile under the “Payments” section.
